I use this cable to connect my Switch 2 (and Switch 1) to the dock without having to place the Switch into the physical dock, allowing me to sit the device next to the dock and avoid scratches. The switch dock makes this awkward to reach for insertion, but once fit in it is decently snug -- I still used a piece of tape to hold the cable in place for security. Similarly, this cable works excellently to extend the length of the cable from the Genki ShadowCast 3 Pro and Genki Covert Dock 3, which uses USB 3.2 Type C PD with DisplayPort 4k@60hz, I believe. As it is a male to female cable I connect it to the end of the Genki provided USB cable to extend it, but it's snug, durable, and works well.

This USB-C extension cable is a great solution when you need a little extra reach for charging or connecting devices. The 5-foot length makes it much easier to position devices without being stuck right next to the port. The cable feels well made and supports fast charging as well as high-speed data transfer. It worked well with several USB-C devices and maintained a stable connection for both charging and syncing. Another nice feature is the thicker cable design, which makes it feel durable compared to some thinner extension cables. The connectors fit snugly and didn’t feel loose when plugged into devices. Overall, this is a solid USB-C extension cable if you need extra length while still maintaining fast data transfer and charging capability.

I had a portable charger with 3 different charger type nubs coming off of it with no cords. I had a hard time plugging my phone into it with the case on so I order the extension cord to make my portable charger easier to use. So far it works great and supports the fast charging feature. It feels pretty sturdy and durable so Im hoping it holds up well. I got the 1 foot length since I didnt need it be particularly long.

This extension cable looks good and feels well made. It works well for straight data transfer from an external SSD drive when the cable is hooked directly into the PC. When the cable was plugged into a USB-C hub, the PC recognized but could not read the SSD drive. (The specs say they do not recommend using the cable "to connect multi-interface hubs as it may cause incompatibility or failure to work" and apparently that extends to using the cable to connect a device from a USB-C hub.) The cable also caused an issue for me with my bluetooth mouse and keyboard functionality (the mouse would be jumpy and unresponsive and keystrokes would be missed). The specs and label on the product say to reverse the direction of the female end of the cable should this occur, but the problems persisted for me even after doing the reversal. This occurred when using a Windows 11 PC attempting to connect an LG monitor to make use of the monitor's built in camera (using a separate DisplayPort cable for the monitor display). Update: I contacted Faracent's customer support and received an explanation for why their cable is not compatible with my system. Here is what they said: "Our USB-C Extension Cable supports USB 3.2 Gen 2 (20Gbps) data transfer, but it is not compatible with Thunderbolt 3/4 docking stations or certain high-bandwidth USB-C hubs. When used with devices like your LG monitor’s built-in camera via a hub, the higher data and power demands can cause signal degradation, which may result in symptoms like a jumpy mouse, missed keystrokes, or the SSD not being detected through the hub. Direct connections (such as plugging your SSD directly into your PC) work normally because the signal path is shorter and without additional hub processing. However, when a hub is involved, the additional complexity can exceed the extension cable’s protocol and bandwidth limits, leading to the issues you described." I appreciated their detailed response and clear explanation. I would recommend this cable for direct connection of an external drive, and would do business with Faracent again based upon their excellent customer support. Updated rating to four stars based upon the customer service and cable build quality.

I bought one of these about 4 years ago to extend the reach of a USB C cable for my Huion Kamvas pen display. Buying another one for a similar purpose. The cable seems well-made. Sturdy yet flexible. I don't move it around much. It just sits there day after day, year after year, doing what it's supposed to. Frankly, I wish everything was this well-made and did what it's supposed to for long periods of time. USB cables aren't necessarily a sexy thing to talk about but this one has sex appeal. It feels nice in the hand. That woven jacket feels nice. Feels like a quality product. I don't like those stiff cables that feel like cheap plastic. Hard to straighten out. This one straightens right out. Buy it!
