Product description This Plain Dumbbell Rattle, by Empire Silver, is a great way to welcome a new baby and give a cherished keepsake. The rattle is crafted from fine sterling silver and buffed to a polished finish. The perfect gift for a little boy or a little girl! Made in America. Comes gift boxed in a signature Empire Silver mint green gift box. Measures 3-3/4 inches long. .com A little over 3 inches long, this petite dumbbell rattle looks like something out of a fantasy story about nurseries of another age. Yet it is--once you get beyond the matter of $50--a perfectly practical nursery toy. Babies will love the highly polished silver just as much as their indulgent parents or grandparents will (and let's face it, who is it really for?). They'll be able to grip it easily--and they won't be able to break it. A small piece of loose metal inside provides the sound effects. --Richard Farr

very high quality

This is a beautiful, real silver piece. Got it for a work colleague, and it is very tastefully packaged and a beautiful gift. Easy to have monogrammed. If you have higher end tastes, this is the one you want.

Excellent Baby Gift

My husband and I bought this for our little dreamboat for his 6 month birthday. We were only interested in purchasing a real sterling silver rattle. This rattle shipped quick, came wrapped in a cute little green box and has a lovely sound to it. This is a perfect gift for a new baby if you purchase and get it engraved. This is a favorite toy of our little ones. As soon as he hears the sound he smiles. It is also very practical for tweeting!

Well made plus it’s a musical instrument.

Use to keep a small child entertained and help him get teeth into place.

It came out really nice!

The jeweler I took it to could not engrave it on the handle, so he engraved the ends. It came out really nice!
