Yum In A Nice Size Smaller Package
This is my second order. These are yummy, especially sautรฉed in butter and cinnamon and served on ice cream. Iโm going to try adding them to baked goods next, and maybe stuffing at Thanksgiving. They come out of the package a bit dry yet slightly oily, the same as all other shelf stable roasted chestnuts Iโve ever purchased. I like the smaller package size. I can take them on the go as a snack for 1 or 2 people, and there are no leftovers or waste (good because chestnuts go bad fairly quickly once opened). I used to get a different brand that came in a larger bag, but it was difficult for one person to eat them fast enough. The quality seems good. I havenโt had any bad nuts. Enjoy!

Pulverized and poor quality
Do not buy. The best chestnuts are from France. Avoid China and Italy. I wish Amazon still carried: French Gourmanity 3.5 oz Pack Of 10, Organic Roasted Chestnut Pouches From Ardeche - these are the best.

Back to shelling chestnuts on a cold Winter evening.
These chestnuts reminded me of childhood, when my Mother would walk with me, to the Chestnut trees. After we got back home, we would sit by the fire and shell the. Then, she would put them on a roasting pan. When they were done, we ate them. A taste all to themselves. I miss those days.

Good taste but small
These are good chestnuts other than they were small and in some of the bags the chestnuts were in pieces. They are soft, however to enhance the flavor, I boiled some bay leaves (2 large leaves for one bag) added a bit of salt, then once the leaves were soft and the water color changed I shut it off and threw in the chestnuts and let sit for 3 minutes and immediately removed them. I let them cool and I enjoyed them. I wish they were larger and whole. They need to improve the packaging. Ok value for the money.

Privacy but delicious
I tried so many different brands that were ready to eat chestnuts These are the closest to freshly roasted ones Not slimy and odd tasting So far I would rate these as my #1 ready to eat chestnuts Wish there were cheaper and available in bigger size
