Fell apart instantly. Waste of money
This product fell apart as soon as i used it. It looks nice and the hooks/needles are good and sharp but the metal bit popped off the wooden handle as soon as i started using it, rendering it useless. Im going to see if i can glue it together as it looks like it was never properly adhered together. Otherwise it will probably have to be a return and the search will continue for tambour hooks.

As described
What I was looking for at a good price. I haven’t tried yet with bead embroidery, but I can’t wait to experiment.

Great starter kit!
I'm VERY new to this hobby and only recently found out this type of embroidery was a thing. This is a wonderful set for a beginner: 12 needles with 4 handles. Everything was packaged well the 4 handles look well made. It's pretty bare-bones and no frills. That said, this came with no information or instructions so that will be on you to looking around for information on everything for these. I'm not at all a fan of items that do this, it assumes that the buyer has either full knowledge of how the item(s) are to be used properly or that the buyer has the means to find out. I can, and will, look online for further education on this but I believe that the buyer should be able to use their purchase without an extra need outside of that item on basic things such as loading their needles and what clothes are recommended for that purchase. I'm quite happy with this set! This is a must have for anyone looking to try a different form of embroidery, just know that you'll need to have the means to figure out how best to successfully use these. The price is right and the quality is great.

Not polished....
Okay, so I am new to doing tambour/aari work but I can tell when a tool is made properly and well. These are questionable. The needles go into the holder fine and the screw locks it in place well. The holder is smooth and feels okay in my hand. The needles are a different story. The 'hook' is cut into the steel but that seems to be it. There are sharp.... very sharp edges alone the hooks. All of them are that way. How much more could it cost to run them in a polishing bath for half a day? I mean, wow, I can get crochet hooks that are much smaller tips/points and they are well polished and do not cut my fabric or my threads when I am working. I guess I can try other, higher quality needles, but that is not what I expected when I purchased these. Come on folks, step up your game. It is hard enough getting the materials to do this kind of embroidery in the US and how with potential tariffs, the few of us who want to learn and do this type of needlework will not be lining up to buy low quality tools.
