ThermoScan 5 Digital Display Ear Thermometer

We have one at home that has served us well for years. I bought this one for my son away at college. Easy to use. Good quality. Worth the cost.

I know the listing says this is not for pets, but my emergency vet used this exact thermometer to take my cat’s temperature. I had been looking for something I could keep at home, so they even took theirs out and let me take pictures of it so I could purchase the same one. It’s easy to use, gives a quick reading, and I’m very happy to have one on hand.

I have a babygirl turning 4 very soon, and the older version of this Braun ear thermometer that I have been religiously using for the past 4-5 years finally died on us. It was telling us very weird numbers for a while, but I understood... since my 4 year old had been tossing it here and there forever. So we decided to buy a new one. I saw that a newer version came out, and new versions arent always perfect at first, so I was a bit skeptical, but it seems to be working well so far. It is a lot faster when measuring temperature. The older version would sometimes take 5 seconds to take an accurate temperature, but this one works in 2 seconds. The problem with it is though, that it keeps changing the temperature everytime I take it. The first time it came out as 37,0 C 2nd time 5 seconds later 37.2 3rd time a minute later 36.9 Well, I know its a difference of 0.3, but this is my first kid so I get anxious about even a .1 difference when my kid has a high fever and I'm trying to bring it down. My husband saw this and went out to buy the older version right away ( we needed one at grandma's anyway) and the older version didnt do this. Anyway, faster temperature measuring is always great, but accurate is always better. As for the design, I would say the newer one is much better. It is easier to hold, sturdier (my daughter throws it sometimes...), and the button to press down for the temperature taking is a bit more comfortable to press. I just wish it would be more accurate! Accurate and fast reading.

I recently bought a cheaper touchless forehead thermometer for about $15 with tons of good reviews, but it was totally inaccurate and unreliable, so I returned it. After that I decided to buy this Braun again, because I had the same one before and used it for about six years until we lost it during moving. This thermometer has never failed me, it always gives consistent and accurate readings, and I never have to second guess if the temperature is correct. As a mom, this is very important for me since my kids get sick often and I need to know real numbers, not guesses. Yes, it costs more, but it is definitely worth the money for peace of mind and quality. I would rather pay a little extra and trust the result. Buying it for the second time and still very happy with it, highly recommend.

Tengo mas de 6 termómetros, de todos los tipos y marcas. Inclusive uno marca braun pero otro modelo. Con todos las temperaturas me daban valores no lógicos. Mi pediatra me recomendó este modelo y de verdad que excelente! Coincide con el valor de uno de mercurio.
