Product Description ------------------- Since the turn of the century, BOURJOIS has launched a number of perfume extracts, like ‘Parfum de Mouchoir’, as well as fragrances such as ’Royale’, ‘Le Parfum de Lisette’ and ‘Etoile d’Amour’, and floral waters like ‘Series Riches’… But it is from 1923 onwards that this area starts to acquire greater importance, and BOURJOIS recognises this by officially calling itself BOUROIS PARFUMEUR A PARIS. 1929: BOURJOIS PARFUMEUR’s fame literally explodes with the launch of SOIR DE PARIS, created by the ‘nose’ Ernest Beaux. This event had such an effect around the world as the launch actually marked the beginning of the SOIR DE PARIS era! For the first time, a perfumer abandoned the standard crystal bottle, and SOIR DE PARIS was presented in a midnight blue bottle, which really became the hallmark of this new fragrance. Even more innovative was the SOIR DE PARIS label, printed on a reflective silver paper. Known as SOIR DE PARIS and EVENING IN PARIS in the United States and the UK, this fragrance invoked a magical festive atmosphere, a celebration of love, portrayed in the advertising by a couple in full evening dress dancing under a starry sky at the foot of the Eiffel Tower… It achieved worldwide success and was haled ‘the most famous fragrance in the world’. In 1992, SOIR DE PARIS was relaunched, retaining its original characteristics. The traditional blue glass bottle was given an Art Deco design. The delicate floral fragrance was given a new contemporary twist of fruit top notes and additional base notes of cedarwood and vanilla.
