Sicilia in Cucina: The Flavours of Sicily

Love this cookbook! Great for language learning and cooking. Translation is side by side for easy understanding. So many wonderful pictures and recipes! I highly recommend it.

This is an absolutely lovely, beautifully crafted, useful reference book. The recipes are well chosen and I very much appreciate the bilingual text with dialect where appropriate. The photography is some of the most dramatic and authentic I have ever seen. Nice selection of herbs are described. Even the paper used to print this book is unique and very special. Complimenti!!!

This is the coolest book! I bought this for my grandmother for Christmas. so I will only be using it and looking at it when I visit her. But the cover is so cool and in great quality!! There is also a red ribbon bookmark! I was surprised to see that the recipes are in italian and english!! Love it!

Similar to Calabria in Cucina. Excellent pictures, recipes are easy to make and a good depiction of the countries food. Organization of the book was excellent and easy to follow (detail was suberb.

This is a beautiful little book filled with (what seem to be) authentic Sicilian recipes. I read an article on the Arsbic influences on Sicilian cooking and we t on a hunt for a good cookbook that illustrates this. This one definitely shows some of the Arabic influences. Ingredients and directions are in Italian and English. It's not encyclopedic, but it cover most of the basics. Haven't had a chance to try the recipes yet, but they seem fairly straight forward, and it's hard to disappoint with tomatoes, garlic and olive oil. I'm now eager to see other books in this series focusing on other regions of Italy, but based on reviews, this is apparently the best one in the series.

Just came back from Sicily where I had purchased one copy of this book. I liked it so much, I purchased 3 more for family members after I got home. It is great. Written in Italian and English with some wonderful recipes. It is a hardback, lovely, and would make awesome gifts for the holidays or any occasion.

This cookbook is amazing. Directions are given like your grandmother would have given you- “ slice the eggplant lengthwise, soak in cold water, fry eggplant lightly, add sauce and parmigiana and bake.” and all of a sudden you have the tastiest, easiest, sweetest eggplant parm you’ve ever eaten.

Great cook book!! The recipes are authentic and delicious
